Had 2 month well visit! He is 13lb 3 oz and 25inches long (50th and 95% respectively). His head was 60% but can't remember numbers. All around he is doing great and breastfeeding has defiantly taken a turn upward from the domperidone! It took a couple weeks to work but I am no longer struggling and in tears over bf and my doctor says that his weight is good and healthy and no more extra visits for weight checks! YAY! I'm one happy mommy!
Domperidone is a medicine for digestive issues but a side effect is that it forces yiur body to make more prolactin ( more milk). I've always struggled with a low milk supply but it really helped me this time around. You have to order online because its not approved in the u.s. I did a bunch of research and decided to try it. I'm very glad I did!
I'm so glad to hear that the domperidone is working for you. I may have to end up ordering some at some point, since it looks like we're going to be mostly pumping rather than nursing and it's just harder to keep your supply up that way. It's pretty much a miracle drug for bfing.
Wow! Such a big boy!! Isn't it great knowing that your BF is working though? I always love when I take my LO to the Dr. it just feels good knowing that it's working...since we never are really "measuring" how much they are taking in. Good job!!
