Ugh I feel like since Arielle was born my life has not slowed down. I just wanted to give a little update. Arielle has finally started to gain weight. We found a GI specialist and came to realize she has a very big allergy to soy and is lactose intolerant. So we started her on neocate and she is almost 9lbs now! So thats very exciting. She is such a smiley loving girl. She is just so amazing. I wanted to thank everyone for all of their support on facebook. I am glad to be back I feel like I have missed so much and have really missed you guys.
On another note, my oldest son Blake is going to an ENT specialist on Monday because he started snoring very loudly ( I blamed my DH because its so loud) and come to find out his adenoids are too large so he will probably need surgery to remove them. I know its nothing major but Im still a little scared. My youngest Blase needs to have a wart removed, and my oldest sister who beat cervical and uterine cancer is now beginning to battle stomach cancer. She had growths they found on an MRI and will be going in for a biopsy on the 19th. So please keep her in your prayers.
On a final note I start nursing school on April 15th and couldnt be more excited! I hope all is well it feels so good to be back! Cant wait to catch up!
Sounds like life is a rollercoaster! Happy to hear many positive reports, but sorry about all the sickness!
Not sure if this will make you feel any better, but as a kid I had a snoring issue and had my adenoids removed and my tonsils at the same time. I was 9 and really don't remember it at all except that I got to eat ice cream a lot because of the tonsils being out. It'll be fine I promise!
Thank you so much.
P.S. Meredith glad to know your only memory about it is happy! I know its minor just hate the idea of him being put under, plus i worried about what he would remember but ice cream memories are always awesome. So thank you for sharing!
My brother had his tonsils and adenoids out when he was young. I remember him getting the royal "ice cream and Popsicle" treatment for a while after. My mom said it made a HUGE difference in his sleeping and breathing too. GL!
Thanks, we just went today to the specialist and they verified surgery was needed. He is scheduled for April 18th. You ladies make me feel so much better but I cant help but be a little sad and upset mostly about the idea of him being put under. He has an ear infection in both ears so there was fluid but the doctor said that s from the infection breaking up. On top the the tonsils and adenoids coming out he will be having an endoscopy. He had baby reflux (GERD) and he stopped taking meds a little after a year...they told me it was gone. Unfortunately its not so she is going to look to see if there is any damage, hopefully not we started liquid prilosec and i am hoping for the best! Just wanted to give a little update.
Update on Arielle, at 34 days she was admitted for RSV and put on precutions. We have had the VNA (visiting nurses association) seeing her at home I have been so careful she has an awful cough so Im hoping its just a cough she sees the doctor thursday Ill make sure to update!
