Hey guys....how are your little ones doing vocally? I'm trying to not let myself get too worked up about this, but Molly still isn't babbling. She will be 8 months on Thursday. She makes noises but not repetitive noises such as ma ma ma or da da da. She is a happy baby who laughs/smiles alot and responds to her name. Any other moms out there with this same thing going on?
Max doesn't babble as much as I think he should be, but i'm not too worried. He seems to go through spurts where he's babbling a lot or not babbling at all. And the only time he babbles ma ma is when he's crying, which I think he does on purpose because he knows that's how to get what he wants!
Jay is almost nine months and doesn't babble at all. He vocalizes a lot - loves to say "ahhhhh" when you tap on his back or bounce him or cover/uncover his mouth with your hands. He also has a few different versions of raspberries that he does. But no consonants, no "ma" or "ba" or anything.
We repeat them over and over when we're playing with him, and he likes to watch us and laughs but doesn't imitate. I'm not that worried about it. He likes the sound of his voice and he'll get the hang of it eventually.
Within the past two weeks Molly has FINALLY started to babble!!! It's like music to my ears everytime I hear her. The only thing she is saying is "bababa" but I LOVE it! Hopefully I will get a "mama" or a "dada" soon!!
