Are you planning to decorate the nursery before the baby actually arrives? Or are you waiting to be 100% sure of gender? Or are you buying in advance and just making sure stuff is returnable ... just in case

Knowing me, I'll decorate before the little bug gets here. However, I'm hoping that we'll have another u/s at some point in the next couple months that will confirm that its a girl. Mom will probably be making the bedding and stuff again, so it would really suck to have her make a bunch of stuff and then have to redecorate because we had the sex wrong

Well, we know it's a girl for sure because of the amnio and I bought the bedding before I even knew what sex the baby was! If it was a boy I would've re-sold it.
Here's the bedding
The room is yellow & the crib & changing table are white.
Lol, funny this topic was in here... I went to Target to get some misc. items for the nursery today! I bought a lamp, baskets w/off-white liners for under the changing table, a scalloped white mirror(love it & it was only $13!), and a pink wall shelf with a little 2 inch piece of wood across it that's hot pink with white polka dots!
I already have a red shelf and the red gingham curtains from Sam. All I really need is a accent rug (maybe).
We won't start decorating, putting up the crib, etc. for another couple months though

I usually get everything done before the baby arrives. I have atleast 2 more ultrasounds, so I will get another peek to make sure it's a girl(even though the tech was positive it's a girl).

Since we'll be finding out the sex, I'm going to decorate beforehand. We've already picked out nursery sets/themes for a boy and a girl so now we're just awaiting the results!

I think I can be pretty confident that it'll be correct due to the fact that we already had our CVS testing done (although we couldn't decide at that time if we wanted to know the gender so it was left a secret then) and now I'll be having an ultrasound this week and at least two more before our little peanut arrives So long as all the results match up, we should be good to go!

Even though I didn't know the sex of my first I chose the bedding to be boy because in my heart I knew. His furniture didn't arrive until the day I went into labor. I am convinced he was waiting. I had my second nursery decorated before baby came and after that I just bought neutral. I didn't really do a proper nursery for either Gwen or Iz becasue we were wiht my parents and there really wasn't room. Wiht Ella I made a beautiful nursery months before she came and she never used it. No that we are in a smaller house her crib is in with her sister and it is still unused.

We will decorate probably the month or 2 before, I bought the tinkle crinkle bedding from lambs and ivy because I love it, it is gender neutral, and when the baby comes, we can just get some decorations that are pink or blue to bring out those colors in the room, just like we did for our daughter. The room stayed that way until this september, and she picked out her new bedding and curtains (Tinkerbell), which was fun. It is never to young to introduce the kids to catalog shopping!!

I'm quitting my job a month early, so that I'll have time to decorate before she comes. We're putting in new hardwood floors this month, so as soon as that's finished, we're buying the nursery furniture.
