Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how long it takes to get paternity restults back?

I think it all depends on where you get it done. I know here if you go thru the Friend of the Court it takes a couple of weeks. I'm sure if you go thru a private company it wouldn't take as long.

My daughter's father is requesting one, and we found out that by going through child support, they do a paternity test anyway, and you get results within the same day. I found out that an independant lab gets their results sent out though

Ok, thanks for the info. I know this sounds nosey but I was wondering because my cousin had a baby on Nov 30th and wasn't sure who is the father of the baby. When I talked to her a couple of weeks ago she said some things that didn't make sense (she took guy #2 to get a test weeks after #1 got his done and supposedly guy #1 is the father)...so I was just wondering. I really want guy #1 to be the dad cause he's soooo in love with the baby. I did a little research online after I posted this and saw it's easier than I thought to get them done.

the test itself takes maybe an hour or 2. its all the paperwork, how busy the lab is and other such thigs that cause a wait to be longer. although, on soaps sometimes times it days 20 minutes and sometimes 2 weeks, airtime. LOL anyhow, if does at a hospitla or a labsite, its usually quicker.
