I hadn't weighed myself in about a month and I started dieting the day after Christmas ... I made a post about the diet ... nothing but chicken and veggies 3 times a day? Well, I still eat a LOT of chicken and veggies but Wade and I have expanded our menu to include turkey (ground, smoked, bacon, etc) eggs, fruit and certain cereals. It hasn't been that bad and I have cheated here and there over the last 2 1/2 weeks. Well today I weighed myself and I've lost 13 pounds (total is 38 of 50 pounds gained from pregnancy) WOOHOO!!! I was so excited, only 16 pounds to go to my pre-pregnancy weight! And I haven't even started any exercising yet!
Good job Jamie! Isn't it great to see those numbers go down on the scale? That is incredible to lose that amount of weight in only 2 1/2 weeks. I am lucky to lose one pound a week! You will have to post a "before and after" photo when you get to your goal weight!
Well, its not exactly "falling off" lol ... I've been dieting really hard and its killing me b/c I'm a junk food fanatic. Last weekend when I was sick, the only thing I felt like eating was those little white powdered donuts, so I got a bag and laid in bed all day with them lol. I also doing know if it only took the 2 1/2 weeks of dieting or if its been through the last month b/c I hadn't weighed myself in about that amount of time.
Now, to just get myself to be active! I took Hayden for a walk in the stroller the other day and only made it around the block one time before I got exhausted! I'm sooo out of shape! lol
Jamie, I am in the opposite situation as you: I have the exercise part down - I go to the gym to work-out at least 5 days a week right now. But it's the food part that I need to work on! I love food too, sweets and carbs especially! If I can just get a little more strict in that area, I know I can get these last 6 pounds off a lot quicker.
i always end up eating way too many sweets and carbs at night than i should. i eat really well during the day (1/2 cup fat-free cottage cheese for breakfast, one oz of sliced cheese and 2 slices of turkey lunchmeat for lunch, and grilled or baked chicken with vegetables for dinner) but after chris gets home from class, he always ends up making brownies or something and then i get the munchies!!! Bad Erin! lol.
Chris and I go to the Y 3 days a week and work out for 30 min. or so.
I lost all of the baby weight w/in 6 weeks of having her, but I've got so much more to lose to be healthy.
