Well, yesterday, Syd followed me to the laundry room while I was doing some laundry. I shut the door when I left (she was outside it ) and she started following me back to the other room. I heard her stop and start playing with the door stopper (you know, the kind that attaches to the wall and is kind of like a spring). I figure "no big deal" because I can hear her and I know she isn't getting into trouble. Anyway, about a minute later she starts crying. I figure she just realized I wasn't there with her, and I say "I'm in the kitchen, come here." She usually is really great about follwoing my voice and coming. So she comes in, but she's still crying. I look down at her and say "What's wrong, sweetie?" That's when I notice that she's left a trail behind her -- of blood! Poor kiddo got her finger caught in the spring and ripped a piece of skin off Needless to say, it took a long time to get her calmed down, and even longer to get a bandage to stay on and the bleeding to stop. Got the gates ready now so at least she is confined with me. I felt just awful though

I bet she forgets and forgives already.
They do get into everything. We don't have a gate yet but we had to put up a blocker in our hallway because Olivia lives in either Madi's room (where I'm afraid there may be small things) or the bathroom.

She seems to be fine. She's just becoming a little too brave for me. She tried to take a short-cut in the kitchen last night (unfortunately in this house, we can't block off the kitchen ) -- she crawled under the table, pulled up on the wood thing that connects the 2 table legs and basically flipped over it! The bad thing is, we have a tile floor in the kitchen! Luckily she seemed more shaken up than anything, but she's going to give me gray hair!
