I THINK it could be a swollen lymph node, but it's really hard. It's skin colored, not inflamed, and hard, I noticed it when I was washing his hair.

Any ideas? I may call his Dr Monday, but I think I remember he had an inflamed lymph node as a baby and the Dr said it was from a cold. I don't think it was quite as hard as this one though.

Poor Davey. Hope he feels better soon, and that it is nothing.

Try and make him not rub or touch it and see if it goes back down on it's own over the weekend. But call the doc on Monday to see if he thinks it should be checked out.

I hope it's nothing!

Gonna call tomorrow, I don't think it's gone down any, but it's hard to measure, lol. He said it doesn't hurt or anything, it's directly behind his ear.

Julia constantly has those off and on, b/c of her skin (somehow, I'm not sure). Hope it's just the lymph node!

I totally forgot to call, today was a busy day, family day at D's school, we watched him have swim class, then had an ice cream party in his class room. THEN had to drive DH to work because his car is broken, then came home and worked on the garden and yeah...just completely forgot.

It hasn't been bothering him at all, I'll have to check tomorrow and see if it went down.

Lurker - my son had one that ended up being a cyst and had to be surgically removed. Just FYI

It's since gone down. Because he had one as a baby, I assume it was a lymph node.

Yeah spencer had one recently and I took him to the dr. It was a lymph node, and the dr said almost anything can cause them to swell up...even just a mosquito bite on the head. I'm sure it's nothing, but I'd still check with the dr if it bothers you
