Well ladies, things are quickly coming together and falling into place for us here. Finally.
Our van was repaired last week after it broke down once we got home from City of Hope.
Then we got an apartment that has more space for the kids, is easier to disinfect when Joey comes home from transplant, and will lower our monthly living expenses. We move on the 1st! So i have this week to pack, in addition to running to and from all our med appointments and such. I am SO excited... but I don't know how long it will be until we have internet again, so I will be MIA. I will do my best to keep people updated...
As for Joey... I cry seeing how he looks right now. I love him to pieces and he looks so sick right now. His hair is 1/2 gone... if not more. His skin looks pale even though his counts are decent. And his eyes... thats what kills me the most. His eyes have a sunken look to them and it scares me. he is nauseated again and feels lousy, but his spirit is still there... playful and fun, just more tired and sick.
Traci, I think of you and Joey every day. I'm glad the van got fixed and you found a great apartment! I'm so sorry Joey is feeling yucky!!! Prayers for a cure!!!!
The BMT he is waiting for is considered a "curative measure" meaning, by giving him new marrow we wipe the disease from his body. So HIS cure is coming!!! It will just be 5 yrs post BMT before they declare him cured.
