When your baby wakes up, do you go right in and get them? Or do you let them entertain themselves until they cry?

I let Davey hang out in his crib, he'll be in there squealing, and playing with his crib toys. Once he's done, he'll cry for me and I'll go in and get him.

Just curious what other mama's do...

But lately he's been whining right away..... *shrugs*

I'm the same way. I go get her when she starts whining. Although, I don't have any crib toys for her. Maybe she'd be okay longer if I put some in there!!!

If Hayden actually played in his crib when he woke up, I would definately just let him be for a while, but he always wakes up crying when he's in there, so we have to go get him.

I love watching her play in her crib by herself. She has a little baby doll I put in there and she sings to her. Well, she chews on her little doll fingers too. I'll go and get her when she wants out but I don't rush in and make a big deal. She's actually pretty good at keeping herself entertained.

Same here, leave him until he whines.

Except for the mornings that I work because I want to give him his bottle and spend time with him before I leave.

I let Ava play as long as she wants to in her crib. And every morning I pray that she will play for a long....... long...... time. LOL!!!

Aiden usually wakes up around 5:30 -6 every morning, but then he will play quiety til 7:30. Seriously!! It's insane...its like he knows Mommy needs her extra sleep. Then around then he will start to whine and cry because he is hungry.

Wow! Sounds like most of the babies are pretty good about it. Davey plays for a while too, I peek through the crack in the door and watch him, it's so funny.

Some mornings I wake up to hear him squealing and laughing on the monitor, it's so cute!

Cohen used to wake up and play and i would sleep unil he cried, but now he wakes up crying(at 5.15-5:30 am). We bring him into bed and sometimes he goes back to sleep, if he doesnt we go make a bottle. i sure miss the baby that used to sleep till 8am!

I let him play. Its more in the morning I do this. Why get up an hour earlier when I can sleep and listen to him laugh at himself in his crib while he plays.

Usually we let him play first, but lately he has been sleeping until around 10 or 11 so if he sleeps that late we tend to just go get him when he wakes up. He rarely cries when he is in his playpen downstairs, but sometimes if he is taking a nap upstairs he will cry right when he wakes up. I love to watch him play quietly in his crib too...he's so sweet.
