Besides Sterling, I have Bryce, who just turned three, and Isabelle, my eight-month-old heart baby
When Sterling was tiny, he used to ask if we could bring home any girl babies we saw. Never the boys, only the girls. When I got pregnant again, he was insistent that the baby was going to be a girl and if anyone referred to baby as a "he", Sterling would insist it was a girl. Then, we found out we were having a boy. Sterling refused to acknowledge that there was going to be a baby It took him a little time but he decided a brother was fine....as long as the next one was a girl He was over the moon when we found out our next was a girl and he takes his job as big brother very very seriously, especially because she has a heart condition. He is her protector
