Okay so I broke down today and got some bigger clothing items. Ive been putting it off for a couple of weeks now because money is a little tight. (arg then agian i do spend a lot of money of stuff i sometimes dont really need). I did some looking around before i bought so i wouldnt spend to much money but i would get enough to last me for a few weeks. Walmart would be a great place to go. Got 5 different outfits for a little bit under $100. So now i wont have to smash my body into little pants anymore.

I love shopping. I hit up Wal Mart, also Target and Old Navy has a lot of cute things. You know, budget-wise, I hit up Dots ( a store here in the South--really cute things CHEAP!). I just went to their plus size section and bought some big shirts that are forgiving. Also, Ross...I pretty much cleaned out their maternity section.
I started showing at around 9 weeks, so I HAD to get some clothes FAST!

I got some decent maternity pants (cheap) from jc penney ! and a shirt from walmart ... Some of my regular shirts that were big still fit me .. so I think I'll wait for a few weeks before I hit the stores again ...

I tried Walmart, couldn't find anything there! They didn't seem to have a big selection on maternity. Don't know if it was just b/c it was in Anchorage, or it's like that everywhere.

Found some cute stuff in Old Navy...mostly I've been buying from Motherhood. They're the only clothes that fit me.

The motherhood store near me is with another store so all the clothes cost a lot.

I went shopping this week, I had already picked up a few things at Wallmart, and I went to Motherhood. I also looked at Old Navy, and I just don't like their stuff, it doesn't fit me. There are wayyyy too many v-necks going on, and too many tanks with a lot of cleavage. I have small kids, so I don't need the world seeing my boobs hanging out when I pick up my kids.
I like Motherhood, they had a great sale rack where I went.

Enjoy your new clothes, you got a great deal!

I got 1 maternity shirt and some baby things at a yard sale today. I also bought 3 bras at the bra outlet and after searching through Motherhood Maternity's entire "as is" collection managed to find one pair of jeans that weren't hideous, uncomfortable, or both. Sorry, but I like my jeans new and dark or new and light -- NOT the fashionable look like someone had dragged the previous owner down a gravel road so that they are already 3/4 worn out.

The ones I got are not too badly pre-worn and only slightly stupid looking because I think they are meant to be capri length on a taller person but they come to about 2 inches above my ankle. But the tall grass and the garden weeds aren't going to care. I bought them for yard work, not office work. Still, I'd have rather had a nice, black or indigo pair so I could have gone out somewhere other than the hardware store or garden center without having to change.

Is it just me, just the jeans, or do Motherhood sizes run small? I'm wearing a regular pair of 18w, elastic waist pants right now. But I had to buy 2XL in those jeans -- that should be a 22-24 at least. ???

I love clothes shopping. Money is tight here too, but I just shove it onto that little thing called plastic money, and I deal with the bills when they come.

I love to shop also, but money is tight around here right now. I have a ton of pre-pregnancy clothes, so I am not used to wearing the same things over and over and over. Thank goodness I don't ever go anywhere! There are NO (NO) maternity stores around where I live. I will have to drive an hour to get to one. I am going to visit my mother (where I used to live) and hopefully get to visit the maternity stores there if money permits. For now, I bought a few things at Wal-mart, but the one here only has one rack of maternity clothes. I bought two tank tops, a pair of pants, and a pair of khaki shorts from that. Everything else was ugly. I happened to see that the regular section had a bunch of capris with elastic in the back and flat panel fronts. I bought a denim pair, a khaki pair, and a black pair in a size medium and I have some room to grow in them still. So, some of you may want to look for them. I think they are pretty cute. I am not used to wearing my pants up so high, and they go up pretty high, but we are wearing long shirts anyway, so no one will ever know.
