SO my mom called me today and said that she THINKS my cousin's baby shower is on September 24th!
Great! The DAY I'm supposed to have his party.
It kind of bothers me, now Davey can't have his birthday on that day because of the shower. I know it wasn't on purpose, but I told people at my little cousin's party last week that Davey's would be September 24th, and no-one said a THING to me!

ugh I HATE stuff like that!!!!!! I am sorry Kelly.... I would call them and ask if they would be willing to switch the date.

Well I don't know for definite that they have that date, but my mom is saying they have more people and stuff, so it'd be easier to switch OUR date.
I just feel like this date is Davey's day since he WAS born on it. If they end up having it on that day, we'll have to move Davey's party up to either the weekend before or after that as DH can NOT get Sat's off. So his party will be a WHOLE week before/after his b-day, I don't know why I feel so upset about it, I guess I just don't think it's fair.
I know my aunt didn't do it on purpose, she wouldn't do anything like that, but still...
My mom said that is the joy of having a big family.
It sucks because I already had all the invitations written out with the 24th as the date!

I think they should be moving thier date! It's Davey's first birthday!! That other baby is not even born yet, I say Davey's got dibbs on the date.

Oh I am so glad! I was going to say that I would be calling her up and telling her she had to switch the date because that was Davey's day!! And if you didn't, somehow I would! LOL Well, not really...but its the thought that counts, right?

It's good that everything worked out in the end .... I would have been very upset too .. I so wanted to celebrate Krish's birthday on the 24th (his actual birthday) but due to a festival back home, we're having to pre-pone it to friday the 22nd .. I never never wanted to celebrate it before his actual birthday but the festival starts on the 23rd and lasts for 10 days , and I don't want to wait for 10 days to do the party .. I was so upset when I found out ... it's good everything worked out for u !!!

Aw, sorry Shalini...
I am glad it worked out too. I didn't want to be upset, my aunt is a nice person and wouldn't do something like that on purpose, but I couldn't help but feeling like my MOM was saying her thing was more important, even though I know that's not true either.
