He knows how to open his sippy cups and its usually full of milk or water (why the water got into his CD player a month or so ago) I dont want to change sippys because I just bought a whole bunch of them.

When I talk to him about it he just covers his eyes with his hands and laughs. Like he thinks it funny. He knows hes in trouble for doing it.

I make sure they are really tight but he still manages to get the tops off.

I dont know what to do.

sorry, but i had to giggle a bit when i read this. jacob has been about to opn his for a while now, but once the novelty of being able to open it wore off, he stopped doing it. although, he recently figured how to open screw cap bottles and he took off all the doorknob covers last week, so we duct taped them on. it looks lovely.

babies are amarter than we tend to give credit for. hope you find a solution, soon.

awww man!! I don't know what to say... other than HA HA!!!

only joking.. it's always funnier when it's not happening to us sorry hun, hope you figure something out. Is it those Nuby cups? I bet it's because the whole top is soft and just pops right in huh? They make hard plastic Nuby ones that are only like a dollar a piece you could try.

Is he actually un-screwing them or is he pushing in the silicone top so that they spill?

If he can unscrew them then just make them super tight. And if he's pushing the nipple part inside, then you've got yourself a little trouble maker and good luck! lol.

Hes actually unscrewing them. I make them tight enough so that I can actually unscrew them.

I don't know what to tell you. We have one of those and I agree the lids do come off fairly easily. None of my babysitting kids have ever learned how to unscrew them, but they sure have fun squeezing the nipple and letting milk pour out I would maybe just work on teaching him how to drink one without a lid altogher...I mean that's how we all learned right? Spencer loves drinking like a big boy without a lid...just hasn't figured out how to carry it around without pouring it everywhere. We've been practicing in the tub...so that when he pours the water all over him it's ok.
