What does your baby do first thing in the morning? We talk about bedtime routines a lot, so now tell us about your morning routine!
Here's our usual routine:
Wake up
Drink bottle
Diaper change
Play in crib while kindly letting Mommy sleep a bit longer
Wake Mommy up with loud talking
Diaper change if needed
Take off jammies
Eat breakfast in just a diaper
Get dressed (if he'll let me)
Bottle if needed
Play time
He usually takes a nap a few hours after getting up.
If Mark is working the 7-3 shift I normally get up and showered at 6:00 and by the time I'm done Trey is awake and playing in his crib. After many hugs and kisses, I change his diaper, give him his bottle and then we play for about an hour. He then gets toast and yogurt in his high chair and then we play a little more and he's back in his crib around 9:00 for a hour and a half nap. After his nap we either run errands, go for a walk or just play.
Wake up @6:30 (talking in crib)
diaper change
keep jammies on
breakfast (waffle or toast, usually some yogurt)
play time for about 20 mins (while mom drinks her coffee!)
5 oz bottle
more playtime!
6:00- wake up, get into mommy's bed and climb around and try to get the alarm clock
6:30 diaper change, nursing, wait in crib for a few minutes so mommy can get dressed

We get up whenever Kaeli gets up. I change her diaper, feed her breakfast, and then she plays until it's naptime. Usually before her nap I change her diaper and get her dressed. Of course this all changes if we have something going on that day.
7:30am: get up for a feed, change his diaper and he goes back to sleep.
9:30am: He's up and I change his diaper, get him dressed. I get ready aswell while he plays. He has his milk and then I give him breakfast.
He then plays till its nap time again at around 11-11:30am. He usually naps for a 1.5 hours to 2hrs. And then he'll get up for lunch and thats kinda when we head out and get errands and stuff done.
Tomorrow is library day so we'll be out of the house by 9:30am which means getting Jehan up a little earlier than usual.

I"ve been meaning to ask you about your library outings....how is Jehan during library time? I'm thinking it would be fun to do this during the winter. Does he pay attention to the reading? Are there other kids his age there?
Joshua wakes up talking and banging on the rails.

sometimes nurse back to sleep in my bed but more often than not, he tries the whole time to get the monitor on my nightstand.

OH he loves it Megan. Its like he knows what to expect. The kids at the session I go to are between 3-15 months of age so they are in the same age group. We sing to them which is loads of fun cause we bounce them on our laps or hug them and kiss them as we're singing to them. The librarian reads 2 books and he really does pay attention to him. He'll look up and watch him turn the pages. Its the cutest! I really enjoy watching him. Also they'll play these songs for the babies aswell...and thats really fun too. You should definitely try to take Ava. I think she'll love it especially since there are lots of other kids there around the same age.

Oh how fun...so it's directed toward that age! I need to check it out here to see if it's offered for that age group...We have library time all over the city...but I thought it was just preschool and up...
