to get anything done, such as showering, cooking, etc. now that your baby is more mobile? I swear it is next to impossible for me to get a shower in lately without "help."

I totally agree. My oldest dd watches Charlotte and I pay her 1.00 per week to watch her when I shower and do my daily chores. Isabella is so greedy so it works great for me!

I don't. I usually shower before Jude is up, or I jump in really quick before getting him out of bed. If I don't have to be up early, I make him sit in his jumparoo while I shower.

I couldn't agree more! I have to schedule any hygene needs that require me to be out of Belle's sight for after she's in bed for naps or when her Daddy is home to watch her. I try to get some cleaning done around the kitchen while she's eating her meals too...But it never seems to be enough time! It's like she inhales what I put in front of her....LOL

It's TOTALLY harder now that they are mobile! At least before if he started to fuss while I was in the shower I would just hurry up and finish...I didn't have to worry about him crawling the stairs or pulling himself up and then falling!
I've been bringing Gavin in the bathroom with me while I get ready, but that is also tough because he wants to get IN the shower!

ITA! I've always showered while Riley's napping but other things are impossible. I have my kitchen gated so when I am cooking he always hangs over the gate and whines. Well, yesterday he figured out how to open the gate and come in to the kitchen (FIL partially broke the catch while he was visiting) so now I have to stop what I'm doing every 5 minutes to remove him otherwise he's up the stairs or into the catfood!

I used to be able to sit Joseph in his infant car seat, take him in the bathroom with me and get a quick shower. Now, I can only shower when he is asleep, or when DH is home watching him. I do have the family room babyproffed pretty well, so I can leave Joseph in there with his sister while I work on cooking supper or do other things (quickly!!!!) If I am going to be in the kitchen too long to pull off that trick, I sit him in his highchair with a snack but that only keeps him happy for just so long too. Thank goodness for Baby Einstein! LOL

Oh yeah for sure! Dh and I have it now where I take a shower everynight so that all I have to do in the morning before I go to work is wet my hair and get dressed and I don't have to be in the actual shower so Eric just crawls around while I get ready. I take care of my shower after Eric is asleep or if I do take it in the morning then I wake up before he does or dh wakes up a little earlier to watch him so I can get ready. Luckily I don't work until 10 and Eric gets up at 7 so I have plenty of time to get ready.

Yes!!!

During the last month my housework has gone waaaay downhill. It's weird...if I'm on the computer or watching tv he plays nicely around me...but the moment I try to empty the dishwasher he's *right there* grabbing at forks and knives...or if I go upstairs to bring down laundry he's pulling down the baby gate to follow me or screaming and holding onto my leg so I won't go. I swear I can't do anything unless he's on my hip along for the ride!

I agree as well! I have to put him in the playpen with a cookie and the Little Einsteins on in the morning so I can get ready. He'll play for a little while.

With Amber I bring her into the bathroom with me with a few toys and she crawls around the tiny little bathroom carrying her toys. Luckily our tub is high enough that she can't get in or anything, but she's definitely played in the toilet water. lol.

I only shower when he's still sleeping or still just talking to himself in his crib. Also, when dh is home.

Nope not at all. I just put him in his safe room and then go shower. He may not like it but that is not my problem...he will get over it. His needs were more than met prior to going into his safe room, so he should be fine.
