Well last night Vic and I ended up staying up really late...neither of us got tired until about 2am.

Well around the time we started getting settled into bed after locking up and everything i looked at Vic and asked him if it was really chilly or if it was just me. He said he would go turn the heat up a couple degrees. Well usually once you do that it kicks on right away if its cold inside the house....which it was at that point. But it never kicked on.

Needless to say Vic went outside and checked out oil tank and it was pretty much empty...we had just a tiny tiny bit in it and i guess that wasnt enough to make it kick on.

Well since it was 2 am there was nothing we could do. WE didnt have any little electric heaters or anything. So i just made sure the kids were dressed warm and bundled up and put extra blankets on them and found me and Vic a couple extra blankets and we went to bed.

We woke up this morning and it was less then 20 degrees outside....needless to say it was only about 40 degrees inside if that. The kids woke up freezing...poor Hannahs little lips were purple and all 3 kids were shivering. We woke up around 7 am cause we were soo cold we couldnt sleep even with extra layers and blankets.

So i ended up calling up my dad to see what we could do since not many oil companys deliever oil on the weekends. He said we could just put some Disesel fuel in it until the oil guy could deliever oil on monday (thats the earliest they could do it)....

Well he called up his friend and they went to get some diesel fuel only to find out that you cant do that anymore. You used to be able to but they added some new thing in desiel fuel....some kind of cleanign thing to help with the motors and stuff. ANd that could have screwed up our heater.

So my dad and his friend ended up going to some oil company that was open and getting a big 50 gallon barrel filled and brought it back to my house and put it in my tank. They ended up getting 47 gallons worth of oil.

Hopefully that lasts until Monday.... *crosses fingers*

what pisses me off is the fact that we paid to have the tank filled not even 3 months ago. ANd we just started using the heater non-stpp the past month or so. The other times it was only really running at night time cause during the day it was still pretty warm in the hosue without it on alot.

My dad said he thinks the oil company ripped us off....we paid for them to fill the tank competely up.....and theres no way we would be out of oil this soon if it was full. He thinks they didnt fill it up completely and charged us for a full tank when it wasnt a full tank. Im deffiently never getting oil from that place again.

Thank god my dad and his friend was there to help us out...we dont have the money to even pay them back right now. My dads friend paid for the oil today (which was about 100$) and my dads paying for the tank to be filled monday.

I feel soo bad but like i said we were ripped off and thought we had oil and we didnt. I knew we were gonna be running low soon but i didnt think it would be bone dry yet. im just soo mad that they took advantage of us and ripped us off like that. They ripped us off at least 100-150$...cause my dads friend said it only seems like the tank was about half full maybe 3/4 of the way full at the most.

Oh no, what a bummer! Sorry you got ripped off. You should write a letter of complaint or something.
How are things going between you and Vic? Has he been more helpful lately?
