This morning I was trying (trying being the key word) to shave my legs and bikini line as I was taking the kids to the pool today....and I noticed that my genitals feel........I dont know, engorged? Swollen? Almost bulging? Has anybody else noticed this? Maybe its due to the increased blood flow? Everything is different, I'm not exactly sure how to explain it but it definitely looks and feels different.

Dropping in from January...
I read in Dr. Sear's Pregnancy Book that this is normal. I think it is because of the blood flow. So don't get too worried about it!!

I noticed the same thing. I feel almost constant pressure down there, but I can tell things are swollen escpecially when I wipe....I know, tmi!

lol, that's so funny b/c my husband told me last night that my.... um.... down there... looks different. and i was like, what? what do you mean? and he's like, it looks like it's bigger!!! lol, i thought it was funny, but he seemed to like it! i heard that it happens so don't be worried!! i can't even shave my legs anymore cause everything gets in the way!!!

Yes Ive noticed the same thing and I also think its because of the increased blood flow in that area.

That's entirely normal.
Before modern lab tests doctors used to diagnose pregnancy partly based on visible changes in the genitals.

I gave up shaving that area already. LOL I can't see it anymore. I just do what I can to keep it trimmed, because that's the only way I feel clean...but...I can't do much!! lol I can barely shave my own legs right now. I have to sit down on the toilet seat and extend my legs, and even then I can't get down to the bottom! I get half way and then go "Ohhh crap." lol I'm really looking forward to getting bigger these next 3 months...I'll have to go into labor with hairy legs. Eww.

Well I am sooooo relieved that I am not the only one!! I did not notice this in earlier pregnancies but that could just be that I just didnt happen to look.
I can say that I will most likely be having to stop shaving my legs altogether soon as I can barely reach them.....that was one nice thing about being pregnant in the winter....nobody knew! Still...I hate going to the dr. w/hairy legs (and other parts)!!

Oh yeah. I can't stand going to the doctors with hairy legs!! (OR ARMS FOR THAT MATTER! I'm weird. lol) I'm going to just have to find someone to shave my legs for me if it gets very bad. I'm sure people around here won't mind. lol
