Just letting everyone know that I went into the Labor and Delivery today and i am starting to have contrax about 8min apart well they did some test and gave me a shot to have them slow down/stop. All but one of my test came back fine... not sure the name of the test but it came back positive which means i could go into pre-term labor within the next two weeks. They gave me a shot of steroids to help the babies lungs develop, and i have to go in tomorrow night for another shot, and for them to montor the baby again. Other wise as of right now im on best rest and i need to stay out of the heat and laying down. Which means NO MORE COMPUTER/ NO MORE JM for a little bit. But ill try and keep you posted and let you all know whats going on. I will try and get on tomorrow to let you all know how i am doing and how the baby is doing. Just letting everyone know DRINK LOTS OF WATER!
PS. Baby is great so far, so theres no worries with him, and im trying not to worry to much about this because i know if i worry that ill only make it worse.
Keep us posted!! I hope that you don't go into early labor, but if you do, I really will pray that it's after 30 weeks so the baby will be perfect. I know he could be perfect now, but...after 30 weeks would definitely make me feel better!!
Good luck sweetie.... the test you are talking about is called the fetal fibronectin (could be spelled wrong LOL) I've had it done many many times in the past
Here's the good news on that test....when it comes up negative (meaning labor isn't likely to happen in the next 2 weeks) the test is like 99% accurate.... which is great
When the test comes up positive (like yours) and meanst that labor could happen in the next 2 weeks ..... its accuracy drops to only about 10% or so.... so thats good too ... but they need to take precautions just in case it IS right!!
