Logan is gonna be 9 this year, but he isn't cheap. lol He is into xbox, wii and computer games. I think it would be fine to get a cheap movie, or a board game. He might still be into power rangers or ninja turtles. Or maybe just a card with $10. I know Logan would like money! Sorry if I am not any help.

I do not envy you. I HATE buying for boys. Just my luck, I'm going to have three of them. My nephew is turning 9 next Sunday and I still have to go shopping for him. All the little boys I know like video games and that stuff is expensive. My nephew loves sports...not sure about the little boy you are shopping for??? What about one of those cool water guns? I don't know...that's the best I've got Trina! Worse comes to worse, there's always giftcards.

I hate buying for boys too! I usually get a Legos set, but those suckers are expensive! Since it's summer I would go with some water toys

This looks neat, and it's pretty cheap

I would go with any sort of outdoor toy, they love that stuff at this age.

The invitation was Spiderman so I went with a Spiderman toy

I almost bought a cool watergun ..... but then I thought.... some people don't allow their kids to have ANY kinds of toy guns.... I'd hate to get something they weren't allowed ya know?

That is me. No guns allowed. But I have never met another mom as anal as me . Smart move to go with the spidy toy. I will have to keep that in mind when Isabella get invited to bday parties.

I don't allow any toy guns either. They either get thrown away or sold in a yard sale if my kids get them as gifts.

I don't allow guns either, but I'm cool with water guns. As long as they don't look realistic. Those super soaker things are cool.

Great idea about the Spiderman toy! I didn't even think of that....duh!!!

I was going to say $10 Mc Donald's dollars. The spiderman toy sounds great though!

heck, put me in Target and i can find ya the perfect toy for $5 or less! The Spidy toy was a good choice.

As for guns... this much I know about boys, they will turn a carrot into a gun. I've realized that they're gonna shoot stuff with whatever they have. Their imagination doesn't need a toy gun to play cops and robbers. I still do not buy guns, except for those totally kick@$$ super soakers!!! But I don't prevent them from playing with them.

I've wondered about that before. When we put together a package for Jude for Easter, I almost included these tiny little water guns from the Target dollar bin. We have some that we use in the bathtub. Then it suddenly hit me that not everyone would be happy to receive those! I didn't know if I was in the minority or not for allowing water guns.

Are you sure you're not my husband in disguise? I believe he has said those exact words before.
