Next thursday Doc starts Kindergarten. We bought his backpack today. He wanted an "Army backpack" as he called it and there was a nice camoflauge one for $15 so we got it for him. He picked that over spiderman and all the other character ones he likes. I still have to get him new shoes (his old ones are wearing out).

Also next Thursday either AF will be here OR I will test. Keeping fingers crossed to test and get a BFP.

I'll be off work all this next week (blackout for 4th of July).

Gosh, Kindergarten. How on earth am I going to handle this! I still remember finding out I was pg with him, and then I remember when he was born I was terrified. I mean he wasn't due until mid June and he was born May 5th. Now he's 5 and going off to Kindergarten and I won't even leave him in sunday school (ha, I work sunday school just so I don't leave the kids there alone). I can almost see myself being one of those moms that keeps her younger kids at the park next door to the school while her older ones are in school (we have a few of those here)... ALMOST being the key word. mel already throws a fit when he goes to his friends house or into a room without her, I can just imagine her fit when he starts school and she can't go with him. I love that my kids love each other so much!

How bittersweet!!! We want them to stay little and by our side but we get another chapter in the grand adventure when they leave our side. I pray Doc and you love his new teacher.

And go ahead, cry your eyes out if you want. I think it's healthy to grieve some during major life transitions...saying goodbye to the old that is passing. And kindergarten is definitely one of those major life milestones for child and mommy. But be of good cheer too...the best is yet to come. Like I said, it's so bittersweet.
