Charlotte has been spending a ton of time outside now that we have a backyard and the mosquito's love her. I use the family off on her every couple of hours like sunscreen but she is still getting bit. We didn't have mosquitos in AZ so I have never had to deal with them. She scratches them so much they blead. Does anyone have a method to keep the bugs off my poor Charlie? How about to reduce the itch after she has been bitten? I but the liquid benadryl on them but it doesn't seem to help. Thanks so much for any advice you have!!!

Thank you very much MM I will try it. Does it matter if they are open wounds? Will it sting?

Rub her down head to toe with a Bounce fabric softener sheet!! I know it sounds weird but they hate the scent and will avoid her. It lasts about 3 hours or so!

Are you serious? That would be a heck of a lot cheaper also. I am going to try it.....I sure hope it works because I HATE spraying her with those nasty chemicals!

Yup, I use it on all my kids when we are out at the campground!

I get bit really badly in the summer and I always rub salt-water-baking soda paste on my bites. It keeps them from itching and swelling into nasty welts. Also the bounce thing totally works-- I never remember to "bounce" myself until after I'm bit to smithereens though.

I will try the salt water baking soda paste. It totally sounds like it would work. Thank you Janie!! When I used to scuba dive I would swear by urine on jellyfish and man of war stings. It worked so well (doesn't this make us think of Friends and Joey not being able to perform??)

I was totally thinking of Friends just then!! That was a great episode.

That bounce idea is awesome, I'm soooo trying it out next time we are out. Brad needs it too, he gets eaten to death out at work.
