Thanks girls! I am here and feel like a cow who can't move or sleep! 4 days before induction and well, I am freaking out, to be honest. I could NOT sleep last night and had all these thoughts in my head...........plus my hands go so numb at night I am in misery.

I am thinking about perhaps going to get a massage Wednesday to the girl I went to last time, at my chiro's office. She said she knows all the pressure points and could really work them to help set me in labor. Even if it didn't do that, perhaps I will get a good night's sleep the night before we go in. I am just so nervous about the pain. I am awful with pain, and I know how bad it gets how fast with the pitocin.

Opinions on the massage? Deanna?????????????

I had a massage the day I had Gavin, allthough I was allready having contractions and wanted to see if the massage would either help them out or stop them. Within a couple hours of having the massage I was in active labor. And had him 4 hours later.

The pressure points are in the hands and feet. Have Nick rub your hands/wrist especially between the thumb and index finger. Also the the back of the heel in the little divit behind and slightly under your "ankle" bone.

I do think getting a massage would be an AWESOME idea. If anything else it will help you relax before your body has to start REALLY working. and you have earned it.

Only 4 days (or less) to go! I remember being so nervous/anxious with Brynlee but I didn't have labor pains since it was a scheduled section I can't wait to meet *him* and find out his name! Good luck LL and go get that massage, it sounds wonderful and will help you relax.

I vote for 1 hour! I think you should schedule it for 4 pm on Wed ... then we'll be getting massages together 1/2 way across the country

A massage sounds sooooo divine!!!

Did you get a pedicure...I know you love your mani's and pedi's. That was my one thing I had to have before both my kids were born....if you're gonna be looking at your feet, they gotta be pretty!
