Is killing me!!!! We are waiting to hear back from the city about Arron's background check. He turned in the packet early Thursday morning. None of his refernces have been contacted yet. I would assume that if they are going to pay a detective to do some digging on you that they intend to hire you if all is clear. Maybe not. See, I'm going crazy! Anybody wanna take a guess about how long this background investigation will take? He has nothing to hide or be worried about that we can think of, but it's hard not to stress about it anyway. I mean he cleared State Farm's pre-employment screening process, and they are pretty tight. Ahhh!!!!
UPDATE
Arron got a call from the detective doing his background investigation today. He said before he can begin his investigation, he needs to interview him. So he has his interview with the detective tomorrow at 9am. Anyideas why they would need to dothat since he signed noterized paperwork ok'ing the investigation. This ould turn me into a nail biter! LOL!

I bet they're just slow, Casey. When I was teaching, we all had to have our fingerprints run, and just that one process alone took over two weeks for them to confirm that I didn't have a criminal background. Still, you'd think if they were wanting to get someone hired, they'd move it along! I wouldn't worry about it at all yet. If you think about it, there have only been two business days since they got the packet, I bet they didn't even take a look at it until after lunch that first day. My guess is they are waiting until a week day to contact references to be sure that they are all home and on a regular schedule. I would say if no one has still heard anything by Friday afternoon of this week (gah, i know the wait will kill you) then I might would find a way to call up there and just see what's going on in a casual manner.
Casey, hang in there, I just joined my company and the background check took 2 weeks .. the earliest results they have is the 5 day report, then a 10 day or 14 day report ..
They interviewed DH for his background check (gov't job) because they needed to find out about relatives out of the country, get a list of friends and relatives in the country, etc. I just had a background check done for my volunteer job at the psych. center, and it took about 3 weeks to be completed. DH's took like, 3-5 months.
Thanks, girls! It was no biggie Arron said. They just wanted his employment history back ten years and the app only went back three jobs. They also need a copy of his hs diploma. I'm really concerned about the employment stuff because he really can't 100% remember exact dates and stuff, and I'm afraid that during the polygraph that will look awful. IDK. I guess if he's meant to have this job it will happen.

Casey, I think as long as he's honest about not completely remembering, then they'll be able to tell. I know I don't remember exact dates either! I just have a really good feeling about this job for you guys.
