I LOVE the name Avarey but I'm definitely partial to spelling it Avery. Just because people are stupid and may be prone to pronouncing her name A-va-ray or something crazy with the switched up spelled. BUT regardless off the spelling I like it better than Caliegh... JMO though

I don't mind either name but agree that the spelling is very unusal for both. I would not have prounounced the first as "Avery" because it's spelled so differently. I also assume the second is prounced "KAY-lee" but it sort of looks like, "cah-LAY" or something...

Coming from someone with somewhat of an unusual name, ("Kallie") I personally will spell my kids names conventionally. It gets really old having to constantly correct people on the spelling of my name. If you decide to name your kids what you have suggested here, they're going to get the same thing...where their names are constantly mispelled. If that's OK with you, so be it. I know some people like to be unusual, but just think of your first grader having to spell her name every single time it's asked...

Avarey or Avery is VERY popular around here, so I am kind of sick of it, but I LOVE LOVE Caleigh a lot! The maning is great, and it's not super common which makes it nice.

I do like Caleigh, it's original, it sounds nice and i like the meaning too.

Just one thought, do you have, or are you planning to have more children? If you name this baby after you and her dad, what will you call the other children - will they feel a little left out if one is named after you and the others aren't - kwim? or are there more family members you want to honor?
