Last year Brooklyn went to tumbling class & liked it, but sort of did her own thing & as I mentioned before, she got traumatized on picture day & after that, was afraid to even go in the room without me. So I had debated on whether or not to sign her up again this year. I have asked her, & sometimes she says yes, sometimes no. But she LOVES to swim, so I got some info & think I am going to sign her up at the community pool. It's a parent/child class, twice a week for 7 weeks. I will be able to take her on Tuesdays since I'm off, & her dad can take her on Thursday mornings (plus this will give them some time together, which they both desperately need, but that's a whole other story).
Just wondered if any of your LOs ever taken swim lessons? How did it go?
Susan, did Sadie start taking lessons yet?
~Thank you AlexAiden Mommy for this beautiful siggy~
That's funny because I was just talking to DH about putting Will in swimming lessons. I would imagine if you're actually in the water with her she would feel more at ease. I think it sounds like a good idea. Also, when we were thinking about signing Will up for soccer he said "yes" sometimes and "no" sometimes too. We finally got enough "yesses (is that actually a word?)" to sign him up. But today we went to buy him shoes and he still said "no". So I guess you can't judge by that!!
Sadie starts on the 16th. We had to wait for a new session to start after she turned 3 because they were full.
I don't anticipate any issues. She's been watching her older two sibs go to swim class since she was born. I also don't have high expectation of what she will learn. I just want her to have fun. Well to be honest I just want 30 mins to myself while she and her brother swim and her sister is at dance
