Sorry girls...but i have to vent.....2 weeks ago I went to dr and she said that I was 2cm and the baby's head was really low, stripped my memebranes and she thought i wouldnt make it to my next visit! Well, i just went to the visit i wasnt supposed to make on wed and she said that i am 90% effaced, 4cm dialted and the baby's head is practically in her hand....she couldnt believe that I wasnt in active labor and gave me to friday...well PS- it's saturday and i I havent had 1 ###### contraction since she stripped my memebranes, almost 2 weeks ago...

So sorry to complain but she keeps giving me false hope!!!
Guess my little one is not ready and i AM SO OKAY with that but my dr has me thinking i am ready to go!!!

PS- I've been walking like crazy...took a million friggin EPO vitamins, cant have sex b/c babys head is too low...and have the RRL tea but cant stomach the taste, my poor stomach is messed up from all the ###### spicy food i've been eating too!!!

I FEEL MUCH BETTER NOW THAT I VENTED...thanks for listening!

Well it sounds more like if you get a contraction your baby might just deliver itself lol I know not funny but think of it this way your getting the progress without the pain thats a plus, right?

I did the EXACT same thing. Thankfully I had a wonderful doctor that was willing to just go ahead and induce me since I was GBS positive and he didn't want my labor to go TOO fast. When I got to the hospital for my induction I was 5cm and 90% and STILL hadn't had a painful contraction. All the nurses were like how in the WORLD are you not in active labor?!? Good news for you is...if your labor is anything like mine, I had him 5 1/2 hours after they started my pitocin and thanks to my epidural I felt NOTHING. So yes it is frustrating right NOW, but just think about all the work your body has done without you being in too much pain.

Hugs girl!!! My mom kept telling me I was going to have my baby early.. she would tell me over and over. Well guess who was induced a week past her due date? You just can't listen to anyone. I hope your labor is quick and easy and hurries up!!! Good luck.

Isnt it possible to ask your doc if she could induce you...though it's hard for them to accept before you are at least 38 weeks (Legal technicalities)?

Try some nipple stimulation with a breast pump or just use your hands, massage the breasts and around the nipples. That might help get some contractions started, it helped me a lot! Good luck sweetie, hang in there, you can't go on liek that much longer!

I am feeling you. I have been walking around for three weeks now having mild contractions and am 3cm and 50% effaced. I am also GBS positive, but when I talked to my dr office about it they make it out to be no big deal. I am walking like crazy, and trying all sorts of stuff and still nothing. I know I am not "due" for a few more days but geez I am ready to hold my angel

This is the kind of thinking that makes all the frustration worth it to me! I'm in a similar situation, where everything is pointing to a labor any minute now, and alas I'm still waiting too. BUT It's sooo nice to hope that labor will be easier since I'm already so far along (progress). Hang in there! I can totally sympathize with you and hopefully you and I will have short easy labors because of all this frustration right now!

I know it can be frustrating, I was the same way with Isaac. I had a 36 hour labor with Isabella. With Isaac I had been feeling uncomfortable all day, and then around 4:00 I realized I was actually in labor. I stayed home as long as I could, and it was really only the last two hours of labor that were painful. I didn't get to the hospital until I was 7 1/2 cm. It was much easier than Isabella! Believe me, it will be worth it in the end. Many women have HOURS of painful contractions to get to the point you are at now.
