Ok, so Mark's boss and his wife got us a Diaper Genie.. does anyone have one of these? We've put it together and stuff.. but.. I'm not sure how the heck to use it! lol. The instructions just confuse me. When I put my first diaper in it, I might figure it out, but it's complicated! There's a little deal at the top that twists, and I'm not sure WHY it twists, and then I guess you're supposed to open the lid to put the diaper in, close it, twist the deal, and then,... pft. I dunno. I can't figure it out.

after you put a diaper in you push it down and twist the film around it (with the lid OPEN). When you want to empty it you twist the thing on the lid (with the lid closed) and it cuts the film so you can throw it out

We have one, but we're really not using it...I just take the diaper trash out to the big trashcan in the garage every morning. His diapers don't stink really yet so I figure why waste the diaper genie. Plus, I think DH screwed ours up by hitting the cut button several times cause he didn't know what he was doing.

We're using ours. DH calls it the Poop Sausage Maker because the end result is a poopy diaper sausage.

We push the diaper all the way down until it clicks.. then shut it and twist twice.

And yep, we use it the same way, we push the diaper all the way in (until you feel that plastic part at the bottom, u will know what it is when you feel it lol), then we shut it and twist it twice.

Why dont you take some paper towel and try it out, get the hang of it! hehe

Ok, now that sounds easy! lol. Now all I really need is a diaper...

I'm just glad we've got it, that way the puppy won't get into dirty diapers!

Yep, the dog was the deciding factor for us to get a Diaper Genie. Diapers are hidden away, out of puppy access! And there's no smell. (Although I've heard people say NOTHING is odorless, but ours seems to be so far.) I'm sure it will get worse down the road as baby gets bigger and starts eating real food, from what I hear...

Yep, just stick the diaper down inside far enough to let the little teeth down inside grab it, then close the lid and twist it twice until you hear it click each time. Easy!
