Well, Erik qualified for free speech therapy, but no pre-k, so it looks like for right now he is not going to be able to go to school...I cannot pay 180.00 per month...that is just crazy to me.

We still haven't gotten the referel to get him seen by the ENT, hopefully that comes this week.

180 a month isn't bad for pre-k, but it depends on the amount of classtime. We pay more then three times that for preschool. You may want to see if you can just get him into a preschool program a couple days a week. That in itself may help with his speech. You can usually find church programs for about $60-80 a month. Even if it's just two mornings a month, it may surprise you. Just look in the phonebook (yes, they still make them, tho I rarely use one ) and make some calls.

I'm glad he qualified for free speech. Pre school education is so expensive I really hope something more affordable can come up

That's good he qualifies for the speech. I agree! Preschool is sooo expensive. It's ashame that they charge so much. We pay $280, and I think its just too much.

Ack! The same thing happened to my friend's daughter. I think if they qualify for speech services, they should get pre-k. Social skills and speech practice are so interwoven into a young child's speech abilities, it just makes sense.

That's great he qualified for speech! There are preschools here that have a sliding scale, a friend of ours pays $45 a month for three half days a week.
