Are you stressed or excited about the upcoming holidays?

I'm excited, though worried about money and how we're going to afford stuff. I have a lot of friends coming to town to visit, which will be fun, but more money.

I'm superexcited.

We try to do 2 things a weekend at the most so we don't get too stressed and the kids do not get cranky.

As far as money, we're pretty good about finding free things to do during the holidays....like light-seeing, going to the tree lighting and getting cocoa, family events, and the like. We do not buy gifts for too many people during the holidays, so money doesn't scare us so much there either. And, we typically do not eat out or go to the movies more often during the holiday season than we do any other time of the year (we already do it more often than we should).

I do not do a whole lot of baking or cooking either - just 1-2 dishes for whatever we're going to and 1-2 things for gifts (usually for my dad).

We do our regular volunteer work with maybe an extra afternoon here or there for the holiday season. With Theo on his way, I have "suspended" my volunteer work until January.

I don't think we are really stressed, we have decided not to go home and nobody is coming out here...I saved bryan's clothing allowance from Oct. so that is our Christmas shopping money.

We usually go driving around looking at lights listening to Christmas music and every other post had something for the kids to do, so I am hoping this post does as well.

I am doing good on my Christmas shopping --- we aren't going overboard for anyone this year - and Kevin "says" he isn't buying for his family. I am done with my family/boys teachers etc..... everything should be done by the beginning of Dec so I can spend the insane time of year at home with my boys making gifts (fleece scarves and hats) and baking which I love to do.

That is my plan anyways
