When your preschooler chooses a movie, does he/she tend to go through "trends" where they watch the same few over and over, or are they good about variety? And which ones are their current favorites?

Both my kids go through trends. Thankfully I usually like the movies that they like, or I'd go crazy. Right now they enjoy Balto, Tarzan, Toy Story 3, and The King And I.

Trends here too. Hayden's been obsessed with Curious George for awhile and then he moved onto Indiana Jones (again!) and they're both back to a Back To the Future trend.

Tommy wants to watch Cars ... EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. (If we let him, which we don't! But it's probably on about 2x a week which is bad enough!)

Emma likes variety - but her favorites are Wizard of Oz, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and a Tinkerbell movie I recorded off of TV. (Honestly Snow White & Sleeping Beauty do kind of annoy me because they are so much about the helpless woman who needs a man to rescue her, but I try to just relax and know that Emma will figure out that's silly as she gets older! )

Autumn loves both Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, but I rarely let her watch them. There's just parts in both movies that scare me, and I can't help but think they'll give her nightmares.

I was so scared of Sleeping Beauty when I was a kid! The spooky green lit secret stairway used to get me.

Ben was so madly in love with Cars (his first movie) between 2 and a half and 3 and a half I was starting to get worried! We dont have very many movies so he rotates though them all pretty evenly these days.

What is Balto?

It's a movie about snow dogs who race to get medicine to a sick girl who's about to die. It's really not very interesting but both kids love it.

Andrew goes through phases.. The latest one is watching the Princess and the Frog repeatedly! Needless to say, we both know most all the songs in the movie.
