For those that have tried or are using slings:

I bought a sling several weeks ago from Target (this is it: Infantino SlingRider).

The first two times I tried Emma in it she hated it - she screamed and cried - so I took her out of it immediately.

I just tried it again today, thinking that I'd try it one more time before returning it. Today she fell right asleep in it! I'm doing all kinds of stuff around the house--hands free! BUT, the sling is KILLING MY BACK!

Do I have the sling adjusted wrong? Or do I just live with the pain? Is that the price to pay to have Baby attached to me??? If you are using a sling that doesn't hurt your back, where did you get it?

we love our sling too.. how nice to be able to hang around and do most things..

i have one that isnt adjustable..but i dont find that my back gets sore... even after a few hours.

mind you..i have a small baby~(she is just over 8lbs now)

can you switch sides on yours?

i LOVE it for many reasons, and i can even breastfeed while in a store.. nice and discreet

I have a ring sling that I dont like very much. I think its because I'm not sure how to use it. But I also have a front carrier kinda like daffodil's and I use it all the time when I"m out with both kids

The sling I use is called Moby Wrap...it's awesome, my baby falls asleep right away everytime I put her in, and there's all different ways to carry the baby in it. Also, the weight is distributed evenly on both your shoulders, so it doesn't kill your back. I absolutely love it....here's the link http://www.mobywrap.com/

I couldn't find a sling when I went to buy one, so I got a backpack type thing instead. It's great!! Ryan just loves it, and falls asleep while we're walking around. The only problem I've had with it is getting him into and out of it. I have to have another person hold the top open while I try to manuever him into it.
