Sleep has always been a really difficult thing for me. I struggled with insomnia BADLY from age 16-20. I'm talking
maybe 2-3 hours of sleep each night. It was ridiculous. However when I'm pregnant or have a new baby, I tend to sleep very well.
What time do you normally go to bed? Around 10.
Do you fall asleep easily and do you sleep straight through the rest of the night on most nights? Not usually. (Again, I do now because I have a new baby.) But normally it takes me a good hour to fall asleep. Sometimes 2 or 3. On bad nights it's 4-5. However, once I'm asleep, if I do wake up, I go back to sleep very easily.
What time do you normally get up? I set my alarm for 6 am so that I have time to pump, drink coffee, and get online before my kids wake up.
Do you sleep later on weekends/days where you don't have kids' activities or work? Nope. 6 am all the time. Once every other Tuesday I get to sleep in because Cory is off, so we alternate sleeping in. Then I sleep til maybe 8 which is wonderful!
If you were home alone for the weekend with no plans, what time would you go to bed and then get up? Probably asleep around 1 and awake around 10.
Have you ever taken a sleep-aid (i.e. Tylenol PM or Ambien)? Did it work for you? Tylenol PM and Excedrin PM both. I used to alternate so I wouldn't become immune to one. I also used to use Nyquil in a pinch which knocked me out good. Later, I discovered it had alcohol in it, which is why it worked so well. Lol. Oops.
