Yes, she has been riding the school bus for 2 years now We've had zero issues and I hope it continues this way. She's pretty lucky because her stop on the way to school is the second last one, so the ride is very short. And on the way back, her stop is the second one, so likewise.
We had nothing but problems last year. Bratty kids, overcrowding, and inattentive drivers. We're homeschooling this year.
The year before that we were in Mississippi and we had great driver and sweet kids. That ride should have been the bad one too, as it was an hour long and the kids ranged from 5 all the way to 18. No problems at all though. I felt totally comfortable letting Beth on that ride.
Seamus rode it last year and will again this year.
The only issue we had was on his old bus at the bus stop. Kid that would throw huge rocks at eachother, ice balls at other kids and peeing on people's cars. I was at the stop with him every day to get after the kids (I called the bus depot and they wouldnt' help.)
We haven't tried the bus yet, but I think we might this year. I rode the bus when I was a kid & hated it (of course I was the first kid on & the last one off). I hope it works out okay. I have no problem dropping off my kids & picking them up, but dh thinks I need to let them grow up a little.
