She does come home pretty hungry.. after-school snack is at 4:30 (she returns from school at 4), and dinner is 6:30. It varies.. she likes soups, so if I have soup, she has a small plate. Other days she asks for vanilla yogurt & crackers.
After school and supper are only about an hour apart, but he comes home super hungry, so I do allow a small snack. I have a drawer in the fridge of pre-portioned stuff - apple slices, grapes, cheese cubes, gogurt/yogurt, etc - and he can grab something out of the drawer and eat it.
Seamus comes home hungry. We have peanutbutter crackers, garham crackers or carrots right now for him to pick from. He gets off the bus around 3:45 and gets a snack as soon as we walk in the door. Dinner is at 6pm
She gets a few snacks. She gets SUPER hungry, she doesn't always eat a great lunch. And she gets home around 2:20-2:30, dinner isn't until 5-5:30. She usually has graham crackers, cheese its, apple slices or raw green pepper/broccoli. Every so often I let her munch on her favorite salt and vinegar chips
