Have you gotten a report card for your child yet? We get our first one next week at parent-teacher conferences.

You get your report cards during the conferences?

We get ours next week too (Tuesday) and the parent teacher conferences are Thursday and Friday. I guess they want the parents to review them prior to the meeting, not sure.

Reports out today, parents evening next week. There are no grades, just a general say on how kids are doing and if things could be improved etc.

Got the first one on Wednesday, during parent/teacher conference.
All the others (3 of them) come home with the kids in the future. But, they liked to discuss the first one at the meeting.

We got ours at the end of October and had conferences mid October. He is doing okay. Excelling in reading (was at level H and that was what they want by 3rd semester) and is now reading at a level J. He has some behavior issues and I will be meeting sometime after the holiday with his teacher.

We got Eric's first report card for the year in November, and he's doing very well though still needs to work on his in-class focus and use of classroom time. Our conference was back in October; they do a midterm progress report that gets sent home only if the child has problem areas that need focused on, and then all kids get a PT conference just to touch base on where they are at.

We had parent teacher conferences in October and saw something that I guess might be considered like a grade card. She is doing well in all areas.

Fritz gets a report card every 40 lessons. He completed the first 40 lessons of second grade on November 7. He got all A's. He's not doing quite as well so far this quarter. Not surprising since the beginning of the year is always some review and Calvert School definitely gets a lot harder after the first 15-20 lessons every year.
