Does your 06er have money of their own? How do they earn it? Do they tend to spend it all at once or save up for things?

My 2 older girls each have a cute little "money box" next to their bed. They get coins for extra-good behavior, for lost teeth, sometimes as gifts from grandparents, etc. They store the money in those boxes and spend it at TRU every few months. We wait until they have enough to buy a decent toy. It's usually full of $1 and $2 coins and sometimes $5 bills.

Jaidyn saves every penny she's given! And I mean every penny!! She gets money for good school reports, helping around the house etc. She spends is every so often, but more often it ends up in her bank account and she saves it for the summer. She's frantically saving for next year as we're going to do the Harry Potter Studio Tour and she is determined to spend a fortune in the gift shop

The girls have piggy banks that they save their money in. Sometimes they might ask to use a bit for a special treat, but most of the time they like to save the money for a new toy or book. They get money from their grandparents, the tooth fairy, and occasionally if they help out extra around the house.

Fritz loves money so it's kind of unspoken that any money found in couch cushions is his for his piggy bank. He earns spending money by doing extra chores around the house. He saves mostly and very occasionallly spends.
