Just as the kids are going back to school, Jaidyn decides to get chicken pox! She's managed to avoid every outbreak since starting nursery in 2009, I thought she was never going to get them. So pretty relieved she has them now and thankfully she's got them pretty mild, so her immune system of steel has finally been penetrated
I'm glad she got them!! I would love to get my kids exposed to it naturally since we don't vaccinate... but no luck so far. I remember getting them as a child!
Fritz had chicken pox when he was 18 months old. Ani and Cameron got them then, too. Best guess is we got them from a recently vaxed kid at church. Jamie and I each got them for the third times in our lives. We're still not immune, nor are any of the kids. We just both happen to have the recessive gene making it so we can't get immune so neither can any of our kids.

I tried all the time when Brody was little to expose him to chicken pox... all of his cousins had them at one point and he didn't catch them.. still hasn't to this day!
I got them when I was in grade 8 and they were horrible.
