At this age, do you drop your child off for playdates and birthday parties, or do you attend with them? IF you don't yet, at what age do you think you will?

She's happy to be dropped off for a playdate, but not a party. I have to stay with her then. I'm planning on gradually leaving her at parties, I'll leave her for 15 minutes and then pop back for 15 and then leave again. The others were all happy to be left by this age, but not Jaidyn, she's quite clingy still at times.

He's done two drop off parties, he does really well at them-they've been kids from his class

I am comfortable with a drop off play date in most circumstances. As for a birthday party, it depends where it is and what's going on. If it is at someones house I would probably drop off, if it is somewhere that is a distance from home or an activity that is new to my DD or is outside of her comfort zone (like roller skating) I would stay.

Play date is fine for a drop iff but as far as a party goes it would depend on the location and of the parents/adults who are watching the kids at the party vs how many kids are there. I wouldnt want to leave her if I didnt think there was enough supervison.
