I live in an area of the country that has lower gas prices than most places probably, but I saw gas for 3.10 today! I can't imagine what it's going for in the west/northeast!

I just went out to run an errand, and gas jumped from $2.99 to $3.19 just since this morning!

Oh wow, don't tell me that. DH is going to be in such a bad mood when he gets off work if it's that bad here. The fuel pump went out on his truck so he is using our gas-guzzling van and spending about 400 bucks a month on fuel!!

$3.15, it yes it has dropped in So Cal.
It's amazing how expensive it is. If the price would drop just $1 money matters would be that much better.

We've been in the 2.80s for weeks here, so when gas went up to 3.05 today, everyone freaked out.

why did it go up today?? did something happen? *thinking, thinking* it's a thursday, august 3rd, no holidays... does it have something to do with the lebanon/israel war?? it was $2.97 yesterday. we got it for $3.17 earlier, but then we saw it for $3.09.... we just HAD to get gas before we literally ran out, so we ended up overpaying (ahem, overpaying by almost $2... really... *sob*).

The CEO of ExxonMobil probably bought another island and put a palace on it for his Arabian Shiek suppliers.

Last quarter alone, ExxonMobil had a PROFIT (meaning all expenses have been paid -- salaries, benefits, equipment, transportation of oil, etc etc etc) of over $10 BILLION. Yet, here we are paying over $3/gallon while the oil execs get RICH-ER.

There are 4.55 litres in a gallon.

So at $1.15 per litre, those of us in Ontario are paying $5.23 a gallon

Sad but true.
