I don't know what's happened to my happy baby. I used to be able to put him on the floor and he'd sit there and play forever. Now, he gets SO frustrated because he can't move! No matter how I put him down, he always ends up on his hands and knees rocking back and forth and screaming. Then he falls, screams some more and rolls around all over the place screaming. I wish he would just hurry up and learn how to crawl because this is driving me CRAZY. I can't put him in the exersaucer for 10 minutes or so now, but since it doesn't move he gets frustrated. He's happy in the door jumper long enough for me to take a shower and that's about it! The rest of the day I'm either sitting on the floor with him, or trying to hold him but that doesn't even make him happy because he moves all over the place when I'm holding him too! It's impossible to get him down for a nap because he just about throws himself off of my lap while I'm rocking him! I know this won't last forever, but for now it's driving me insane!!!

omg Sierra is just like that. If it weren't for her big brother being around to play with her I would probably get nothing done. She is just so pissed that she cant crawl yet. And the poor girl trys so hard. I just have my fingers crossed that she figures it out by the end of the month.

Maddie is doing the same thing! It is driving me nuts. She is trying so hard to crawl and all she can do is put her butt up in the air and rock back and forth. She whines with her face in the floor and it sounds so pathetic. I hope she figures it out soon.

well i don't think missy is frustrated about not being able to crawl, but she still doesn't let me get anything done. i can hardly be away from her long enough to microwave a meal. i had a very long wait for timmy, before he learned to crawl, so i really hadn't even thought of it as a possibility yet. i much prefer the non-mobile, though, right now.

good luck to the babies who are ready! or who think they are.

That is exactly how Ryland acted until he started crawling. Not much longer, girls!

The thing that drives me crazy is last week he was scooting around a bit or "army crawling". He wasn't fast by any means but he was at least getting somewhere and moving forwards...before that all he could manage was scooting backwards. This week all he wants to do is get wherever it is he wants to go NOW! He completely loses it if he can't grab the toy he wants. If I hand it to him he tosses it to the side and moves on to wanting something else even farther away! I'm exhausted!

Thats exactly how Hayden is! He wants to crawl so bad but refuses to stay on the floor and will only stay in his play pen or crib for a few minutes. He seems to like his walker alot more though now that he can "walk". He's scooting around all over the place. but I still want him to have that floor time. So far though it doesn't happen without the screaming.
