I bought "How to Knit - The Definitive Knitting Course Complete with Step-by-Step Techniques, Stitch Library and Projects for Your Home and Family" by Debbie Bliss and it taught me almost all I know. I've looked up more complicated stiches on knittinghelp.com

I'm left handed so it was a challenge to learn from pictures since I do it all backwards But if I can do it, anyone can.

Me!! my MIL tought me! I made all of Sophie's wool blankets, and am working on a light cotton one for this spring!!! I love to do it in my down time!!

I want to learn too! When I was pregnant I tried but couldnt get the last step! My friends 8 year old daughter had a knitting kit but everyone in the house couldnt figure out how to do it, so she made me try. I sat there with my ex for almost two hours, but couldnt get the last step. How is an 8 year old going to knit if a 22 year old cant? Well, about ten months down the line, and her finishing 3 scarves later, I still dont know how to knit. All because of that stupid last step?!
