I had an appointment with my OB today. HB still sounds good and fast...170 something. He said he would bet money that it's a girl. I thought the HB thing was just an old wive's tale. Funny, I really thought I wanted another boy but now that he put that in my head, I keep thinking about how much fun it would be to have a little girl! Obviously, I'll be happy either way. If it's a girl I get to do more shopping though! We'll know for sure hopefully at my next appointment...12/13. Not sure I can wait that long!!

LOL my doc said the almost exact same thing at my last appt. So did the Chinese lunar calendar, my mom, and my morning sickness, and look at me, growing a little penis in my belly! lol You'll know soon enough!

for me too. I'm having classic girl "signs", but in just under 7 weeks (well probably more since I'm sure he'll be stubborn and refuse to come out on time) my house will be full of more testosterone

Sebastian's HB is ALWAYS above 140 (in the 160's a lot)....and he's definitly a boy....

That's why I always thought it was a myth! Seth's was always higher too. That's why I was surprised when my doc was like, oh yeah, that's definitely a girl. When he said he'd bet money it was a girl, I told him I was holding him to that because he makes a lot more money than I do!

Haha. I dunno... I suppose I think there's something to the wives' tale if it's that high. Obviously not fool-proof but I think when it's extreme like that you might be looking at a girl. This one was 160 and Autumn was always higher than that. When is your ultrasound?

the HB thing proved true for all three of mine - both my girls heartrates were 160 or over and my boy was around 140 on average. All babies heartrates are high in the first trimester though and even some into the second so the real time that works is like 20 weeks on, from what I have been told.

U/S is a week from Thursday. I will seriously be FLOORED if they tell me this is a girl. For awhile there I wasn't sure what I thought it was and kept changing my mind. But I'm really feeling another boy for now...guess we'll know for sure in a week or so!
