I know it's a bit early but I was wondering who everyone was going to want/invite to see their baby born.
I'll go first. It's just going to be me and my mate...of course the doctors and nurses. Just no other family. It's prolly going to hurt people's feeling when we tell them (family) that no one else is invited. I just don't want them there, it's a private time for us and we want it to be just us.

My room is going to be just us girls its going to be my cousin, my mom, and my best friend. I am single doing this so i just wanted the girls in my life that calm me down and everyone else can wait outside

I know that I deffinitely want my Mom and my husband there, and maybe I'll let me MIL there as well, but I'm undecided on whether or not my Dad and my FIL will be allowed. But I still have plenty of time to decide who I want there for sure.

I suspect there will be a number of folks at the hospital, but only DH and I for the actual delivery. I just can't imagine having anyone else in there. I remember seeing a tv show with a birth in it, and the woman had her parents in there. And even though her folks were standing by her head, her dad kept trying to peer down and see things happeing... and that just seemed really weird to me.

How many people can be in the room during the delivery???

well having a doctor there for a change would be nice 
then mike and then Eliza and Elenor. Eliza is 15 and wants to be a nurse. Elenor is 11 and wants to be a doctor.

only dh
IF my family had listened to me when i had rachel, they would be invited ( i did not want them in the delivery room), but they came anyway.
so now, they will get a call AFTER i have the baby and then they can come to the hospital.
a friend of mine will watch rachel. our daughters are close friends, so rachel will like that.

DH only in the delivery room. Whoever else wants to can be in the waiting room until the baby is born. I'll let DH deal with the tension between his mom and step-mom. 
You'd think they could be adults around each other after 15 years but apparently not.

I want DH at the delivery, but I want my in laws and my parents at the hospital, and I want my step daughter there to see the baby when it's born

Okay, question on this topic. I obviously want my DH. I think I want my Mom and MIL too. But do you guys think the dads would be offended if their wives were in there and they weren't invited? I'm extremely close to my dad and close enough to his dad. But, I don't know that I really want guys, other than my DH in there.

My mother was at the birth of my son. She freaked out and almost passed out. This time I imagine it will only be me and DH...Although I Know I want a few minutes just to myself before and after the birth..is that odd?

I want my boyfriend and my best friend to be in there with me. Our hospital only allows 2 in the room at time of delivery so those will be my 2. Although that means that I have to find someone to watch DS.

DH is going to be the only one in the room. I love my mom, but i just don't think i'd want her in there. Who knows...when those contractions start i may be screaming for her. I do know that my whole family will be in the waiting room. DH's parents will be coming up from TN and i know his mom will try to be in the delivery room...but in won't let it happen! Her and i don't get along very well.

DH will be the only one in the delivery room. My mother will be the only one (besides DH) in my labor room. Everyone else can wait in the waiting room, but I don't want billions of people in and out of the labor room, watching me have contractions. And my in-laws are not my favorite people, so they will definitely be in the waiting room for the entire thing.
