Do you send out cards? do you make the cards? send out photo cards? buy cards? do you send out a Christmas letter to let people know what you have been doing this year?


What do you think of Christmas letters?

I personally love getting them - seeing what everyone has been doing all year etc.... but I know some people who find them reallllllly annoying.

I will send out cards. I am making all of my own (and really need to get on that) I don't send out a Christmas card but do like getting them from people I don't talk to often. I like hearing what they have been up to.

I usually send out Christmas cards. I just buy some from the store. I'm not a big fan of photo cards so I never get those. When the kids are older and doing lots of different things, I might write a letter then. As it is now, I keep in contact with almost everyone through email.

But, I like getting those Christmas letters too so I know what everyone has been up to (job changes, moves, kids after-school activities, etc)!

I send out cards, now the only people I get the letters from are from my extended family out in South Dakota. It is interested to find out that they lost 5 cows over the winter and that they had very little rain making grain harvest bad. Not a whole lot going on out there I'd say, but hey at least it is nice to hear that my 78 year old great aunt still gets up on those horses and round up the cows every morning. It really instills a sense of pride in the work they do. They might have a very simple life but they love every second of it. I never really appreciated those letters until later in life.
