By the way - I have now lost about 6 lbs! I've gone from 182-176 Thanks for the tips Jess! I really want to get to a max of 160, but really I want 150. I think my body just needed a little time to adjust. I'm glad I stuck with it!

Is this still going? I started working out again last week, and cut out coffee and excess sugar. Of course, I GAINED this week (grrr) but I know it can take a few weeks to see results.

My next goal is to stop eating after 8pm. I tend to overdo it in the few hours before bed, and I KNOW that will make a huge impact if I can learn to control it and stick to water or tea before bed.

I think everyone else should still go for it. I obviously would fail miserably. I did hear of another tip though! When you're eating salad, rather than putting dressing on it or even dipping your salad in dressing on the side, dip your fork in the dressing and then fork up the salad. Still get the taste but WAY less fat and calories.

lol... well, I'm still trying to loose, ladies. I'm OFF of the Adipex and feel a lot better as far as headaches and it giving me HBP (which I've NEVER had). But I'm kind of stuck now. I've switched to just about whole grain EVERYTHING. Eating a lot more vegetables, only use Canola oil when/if I need to use it... and *try* to cut out most sugar. I do NOT and will NOT ever use sugar substitutes, however. And coffee?? No... No... I wouldn't be able to live without that. Really.
But Wait! There's more! I just started a new workout last night... and thought I was going to die from pain I had to quit.
So my exercising that I've been doing every day (unless it rains) is walking, 20 min. a day... and what I just started last night is Billy Blanks Tae Bo.. I've only got one DVD, so far, in another week I'll get a different one. And 2 weeks from now, I may up it to doing the Tae Bo once in the morning, and once at night.

Well I joined back up with Weight Watchers last week, down 3lbs since then. I've also been working out 5 days per week for 5 weeks doing cardio and today I added some ab work. I am very ready to be healthy for my very energetic little guys. I have so much more energy since I started working out; and with WW I feel much more in control of my diet. Turns out I wasn't eating enough, so I upped it with some more healthy stuff (fruits/whole grains/proteins) and yep, lost those 3 lbs in 5 days (after only losing 2 the entire month before!).

I have to get healthier for my boys. They will only get more and more active....

I am back on the band-wagon, too. So many of my friends are losing right now and becoming MUCH more active, that I'm feeling like I can do it too!

I'm doing Weight Watchers and trying to jog 4 days a week minimum, and get out for walks with the family on the days I don't work out.

I just want to be able to wear nice clothes and not feel too "fluffy" as one of my good girlfriends says by June 10, our weekend away... Here I go!

I've worked out 5 days a week for 6 weeks doing cardio, and just added an exercise/stability ball strength training workout today. I think I'll do that one 3 days a week to start (added to the cardio) and see how it goes. I've lost some weight, and my clothes fit better so I know the exercise is helping with inches as well I feel stronger, too; and that alone is a great feeling

Are you still doing this because I really really really need someone to kick my a**. My problem is motivation. Before I had Nicholas I was a workout junky and did Tae Bo 3 times a day. Now I just don't want to do anything and trust me it's showing. I still have all of the weight I gained while pregnant with Nicky PLUS.

I did find the couch to 5k running program and I'm going to start tonight.

I just did the first workout for the 5k challenge. I really thought it would be simple, I've ran before so no big deal. Yeah, I almost quit lol, but maybe I had the incline too high. I survived though and I think I'll actually enjoy it. I might even throw in some tae bo or the biggest loser game I have afterwards.....just not tonight lol

I have been working on losing weight also. Most of the newer recipes I have tried are lower calorie and low fat. All of which I got from SparkPeople. I am currently up to 6 miles of walking.. I was thinking of trying the couch to 5k thing, but my knee would not withstand the stress running puts on it. I have also been hitting the hiking trails, weekly, if not every other week.

I have been on the band wagon for almost a month now.. And have only lost 1.6 lbs. But I did lose some inches from my upper arms, chest, waist, hips and calves. So who knows.. I do feel my pants getting loser.. but it is not showing on the scale. This weight loss stuff can be confusing. LOL

Ugh, I know what you mean, Marcie. I've been doing the couch to 5k and have lost ZIP! It's been 5 weeks and nothing; not even a freaking half a pound. It really can feel discouraging.

Make sure you are actually literally counting your caloric intake. Bottom line is that if your calories going in are more than or equal to the calories being burned, you won't lose. You have to make sure it's less. Exercise alone isn't enough, though it's helpful.
