Troy was tested in the beginning of the year and put in a special reading group because he was reading at a level 7 (for this test, that put him at a 1st grade level). They retested last week and he's at a 17!!! That's where they want the kids entering 2nd grade so in a few months, he has jumped tremendously. I was so excited and he's so proud of himself too. They just started reading groups with the rest of the kids yesterday but they had to put him and another boy from the special group in their own group again so he's very excited to still be with his buddy.
Unfortunately no, unless I get a note today from the teacher. They get report cards Tuesday so he'll definitely have something for next week. I did request work from his teacher and hopefully she'll remember to load him up today. I am finding that she's really bad with communication
tat is so great!!!! isn't awesome to have good readers! i am so proud of your young man!!!!
As far as that teacher goes, she needs to be canned! There are so many good teachers out there without jobs and here she is being crappy! I am glad Troy is doing good with her but communication is sooo important!
