My trip to Boston was good. I have a surgery date set for May 13th. The CT Scan showed that the tumor has shrunk down to about 6-8 cm, which is incredible seeing as how it was about 22 cm at its biggest. They are removing it and also my spleen b/c there are some cysts on there and you don't really need a spleen anyway and repairing the hernia I have developed from my last surgery! Geez I sound like a mess . I should be in the hospital for about a week, which is going to be difficult since it is a four hour drive, but it is worth going to one of the best hospitals in the country. My mom and dh already scheduled vacation time so I'll have lots of help. SO I have two more weeks of chemo and then surgery! I am excited but nervous....I just want to put this all behind me.
Wow - that's great news that it's shrunk that much! Is your mom going to stay with your husband and kids while you are in the hospital? That is alot to have done all at once, but at least then it will be all done and over with, and once you are recovered, you can put it all behind you! I wish you the best of luck, and a very speedy recovery!

Oh Kristen, this is awesome news! I am sooo glad to hear you will soon be finished with your chemo! You really are a strong woman! Your kids are sooo lucky to have you as a mom! Pretty soon this will all be a nightmare of the past! You are very blessed to have such a great husband and mom, to help you out soo much. We are all here still praying for you!
