Did anyone feel it? It happened right at my alarm went off this morning at 5:40am ET. I wasn't sure what it was until later when I went to a news' website. It's the talk around school this morning already.

Wow! I hope it wasn't too serious. We don't really get earthquakes here. The last little tiny one we had was about 20 years ago.

It woke me up!!! I thought someone was walking around our house, cause I heard the floors creaking. I don't remember feeling it, but my mom felt it and she's up in Iowa!!! The house moved quite a bit though and woke me up, and I was really tired and out of it!!! I got up to see if I could tell what had happened, but didn't see anything, of course.

I don't know how I didn't feel that aftershock. DH felt it. I was at work, teaching in my second floor room. No one mentioned it at school, but school is about 20 miles north of where DH was.

At first I just noticed that my computer monitor was shaking then I realized that the house was creaking again, and then I felt it too. It was initally reported as a 4.5, but they changed it later to say it was a 4.6.

I just hope this doesn't lead to a big quake on the New Madrid!!! If it does, we'll probably all feel it!
