I'm not sure if this question was asked already; sorry if it was. What are some things that your baby outgrew? Isaac has outgrew his bouncy and swing, I got him a new walker, baby gym and toys about 2 weeks ago plus new clothing. He was also rough with his toys and stuff so they got destroyed it was time for new ones.

I can't think of anything else right now- he is getting closer to outgrowing his carseat though not looking forward to him facing forward trying to keep him in his infant carseat until its time to change.

They make rear facing car seats for older babies. You should look into that.

Jack has outgrown his infant car seat, bouncy seat, swing, and bath tub. Clothes as well, of course. Not toys so much. I guess I just make sure to buy things that are made well and cannot be destroyed by a baby, it just seems like common really.

Marilyn has outgrown most of her stuff. A while ago. I just put away her mobile. Her swing was carted off months ago, I just pulled out size 12 month clothes for her to wear, she's even almost outgrown her jeep seat too!

Some stuff I am getting rid of for sure, other things I have to find room to store JUST IN CASE I have another baby someday.

Jorja hasn't really outgrown a lot other then clothes. Her swing was a swing-n-meals, so it converts to a highchair, so she can still fit that, but its put away cuz we have a space saver highchair. Her bouncer chair, is a infant to toddler rocker, so that goes to 40lbs. SHe isn't even half of that yet! She is only 16 lbs so she still fits her infant carseat. She did however outgrow her infant bathtub! I think thats it.

almost the same things as you ladies. the swing and the play yard i am letting a friend use who is due in October. to be honest, i have bought just the basics and really don't have a lot that he out grew or to store. he his wearing 6-12 months clothes. i sold a lot of his smaller clothes on ebay and kept the ones that i really liked and have sentimental value. we are actually just starting to buy more toys for him now that they are keeping his attention more.

she has outgrown her bouncy, swing, bathtub, infant carseat, and I just took out 12 month clothes for her to start wearing soon. She still fits into 9 month stuff in terms of pants but onesies and bodysuits i think she needs 12 months now because her torso is long. If it is gymboree or gap she is in 6-12 mo. size.

Lots of clothes--she wears mostly 12 months and some 9 months still fit, swing, infant car seat, bouncer seat.
The only baby furniture I have left in the house is the jolly jumper, exersaucer (stays in the laundry room), booster seat at the table--but my 4 yr old still sits in hers so that will be awhile yet, crib and bumbo chair--which I am noticing she is getting too chubby for as well--she only uses it while I shower anyways.

It hasn't even been a year yet, it sure goes to show how quickly they outgrow so many of the items that we "had to have...." LOL

ETA: I dont use the Sling anymore either---I use the back pack carrier now that it's warmer out and she sits up

Will has outgrown his bassinet, swing, infant bathtub and baby clothes up to 9 months. Our infant car seat goes to 30lb and 32in so we are good for a bit there. He still sits in his bouncy seat once in awhile.

Mostly clothes, she wears 12 month and a few 6-9 still fit her. Also her infant car seat. I still put her in her swing if she is really tired and I need to get stuff done but I think it will be put away soon.

Kami was too tall for her bouncer seat.....and over the weight.
I don't use the sling or the Bjourn any more, my back can't handle the weight.....makes me sad because I LOVED it!!!

I still lug her around in the infant carrier though, which is killing my arms and giving me calouses on my hands

She got too big for her BeBePod which we also loved

So many cute outfits are packed away.

Infant bath net is gone and she is getting too big for the baby tub too, but don't feel comfortable bathing her in the big tub.....she is too wiggly and I don't think I could ever get the bath clean enough to feel good putting her in it.

.........they are growing up way too fast!!!

You definately need to get him a convertable carseat so he can continue to rear-face for awhile after he outgrows the infant carseat. 20 pounds and 1 year is the MINIMUM, but the longer he can stay rear-facing, the better. Look into a Costco First Scenera, they are on sale at my Wal-Mart for 35 bucks I think. Or a Britax Marathon or Roundabout if you are willing to spend more.

All Haylee has outgrown is her infant bathtub really. I never set up the swing after we moved because we have no space for it, but I think she could still use it.

You can get carriers that work for bigger babies, I bought a Beco Butterfly baby carrier and love it! It is so comfy, and can be used as a backpack carrier and a front carrier. You can use it for toddler up to 55 pounds. It is super cute, too. http://www.mckinleykidz.com/catalog.php?category=37

bassinet, bath tub, infant carrier (a LONG time ago) bouncy seat (long time ago), swing.. i'm pretty sure he's too big for his jumperoo but he loves it too much to stop putting him in it just yet.
we only used his travel swing ONCE (hand me down) and he was already so heavy that it wouldn't rock him. was not amused by that.
he's in 12-18 month clothes (ridiculous). we have STACKS of clothes to get rid of.

and I have to ditto the ladies about car seats. Even though he outgrows his carrier, do NOT put him forward facing. Boosters these days face both ways, it's in your best interest to keep him rear facing until he is OVER a year old, not just over 20 lbs. Holden is well over 20 lbs and I could not imagine putting him front facing, it just isn't safe.

I didn't know you could get bigger carriers for babies, I want to invest in one badly... I think I need one now I don't having Isaac rare facing until that time, even if he outgrows it... I thought it goes up to 30lbs and now I went to the store it said 20lbs I'm so confused but I'll have to get more info he seems fine in it and has some room that should last until this fall. Wow some of our babies are already in 12-18 month clothes wow! We're going to have some football players!

what you're going to need is a booster. Once Isaac grows out of his carrier, he'll be too heavy for you to want to lug around in a carrier anyways!
Boosters go up to anywhere from 45lbs-100lbs depending on how much you spend

A convertible carseat is what you need to look for, I'll give you some links. Make sure it has rear-facing AND forward facing in in the description.

This one is cheaper at my Wal-Mart than it is online.
This one costs a little more, but rearfaces to 35 pounds and forward faces to 50 pounds, so it would last him a long time.

He has outgrown when he weighs too much, or when there is less than 2 inches of carseat above his head when he is sitting in it. There needs to be at least 2 inches of actual hard carseat shell not just the padding past his head. It might look like he has lots of room, but if he is out of these guidelines then it is unsafe to keep using it and you will need a new one. I would highly reccomend calling your local polic station or fire department and asking if they have a carseat tech on staff to help you install it. Almost all have one who will install your seat free of charge to make sure it is in right. They can be very confusing to install properly.
